
Hanoi to have more world-class hotels

The Hanoi People’s Committee has given a nod to three five-star hotel projects in addition to five newly-licensed world-class hotels totalling $1.2 billion.
According to the Ha Noi Tourism Department, the three projects include the Marriot hotel close to the My Dinh International Convention Centre by Bitexco Company, a hotel-office-villa complex in Doi Can Street , Ba Dinh district and a hotel-office project in Tran Vu Street , Tay Ho district, by a company under the National Administration of Tourism.
The Ha Noi Tourism Department also reveals other big projects such as the Thuong Thanh hotel in Long Bien district, the Ta Thanh Oai golf course in Thanh Tri district and the Phu Dong golf course in Gia Lam district.
In addition, the Ha Noi Tourism Corporation has signed with foreign partners to build a horse race-course in Soc Son district.
The city People’s Committee is also considering eco-tourism and entertainment resorts in different parts of the city.
