
First tourism area receives ISO management certificate

Bien Dong tourism area in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has received the ISO 9001:2000 certificate for quality management from the Viet Nam Certification Centre (QUACERT), becoming the first tourism site being granted ISO.
Established in September 1999, Bien Dong tourism area, which can receive up to 5,000 holiday-makers in a day, has become an attractive destination to visitors to the province.
It has also named one of the province’s best reliable tourist destinations.
Last year, Bien Dong welcomed 540,000 tourists, an increase of 40,000 compared to 2006.
